We are very excited to welcome Kate Hooper to Element Recruitment UK as our Learning and Development Director. Kate joins us with almost 26 years’ experience within the recruitment industry where she has a proven track record of success.  Kate started off at grass roots and progressed through her career due to her tenacity and passion for the industry. The latter part of her career has been focused mainly in training, development, operational and strategic roles which is where Kate’s passion lies and where she is going to add unlimited development and growth to our employees and business.

Learning is important to each employee, it boosts confidence, is enjoyable and provides happiness and stability, it leads to a better quality of life and helps boost personal development too. Learning is more than economic success; it can influence a person's life in so many positive ways which links into our employee engagement strategy.

Employee engagement is important to us at Element and we feel strongly that it is about being included fully as a member of the team.  We want our employees to feel trusted and empowered by receiving regular training, support and constructive feedback and ensure that our valued employees are recognised for achievement. Two-way promises and commitments between employers and employees can then be understood and fulfilled.

Engaged organisations like Element, have strong and authentic values. We often spend more time at work than we do at home. We want our team to be engaged and passionate about working at Element, so we naturally want to offer support with their personal wellbeing.

Promoting positive mental health in our workplace is important to us. Employees with good mental health are more likely to feel motivated, have good attendance levels and be engaged in their work. Additionally, taking steps to better support the mental health of staff can help to reduce the severity, duration and quantity of mental ill health in the workplace too. Element is committed to promoting positive mental health with a range of activities and key messages to educate staff and managers and remove any stigma. Kate will be Elements first mental health first aider, another great step to ensure we offer full wellbeing to our employees, this is great leap forward for Element to support our diverse growing business.

We want to be the employer of choice, we want to stand out, we want to be more than an employer and that’s why we think our personal approach works.  Overall Kate’s arrival has had a very positive impact on our business as a whole and we are looking forward to seeing how Element will continue to evolve with Kate’s input and support.
