Over this past week, I have been at Element Recruitment UK completing my Year 12 work experience. As I have an interest in Recruitment for a future career this week has been excellent for allowing me into gaining an insight into this career. I have learnt so much this past week as the lovely Element team have taken their time to teach me new amazing things about Recruitment that I had not known before. I have thoroughly enjoyed all the tasks I have been given. Some examples of this are that I used job boards to identify suitable CVs such as Reed and LinkedIn to format CVs to send to potential clients. This was enjoyable as it allowed me to find perfect candidates for job roles and may of potentially allowed me to find an individual a job which is very rewarding.

I not only assisted with candidate registration meetings, but I also did a mock interview with two internal members of Element Recruitment. This was very helpful as it allowed me to understand how to address candidates in real life as it allowed me to know what to say and the body language I need to show and the attitude towards candidates. Therefore, my confidence has expanded due to me being given these opportunities from the Element team.

At the beginning of the week, I interviewed internal employees to gain an insight into their day-to-day roles in recruitment, this was helpful in teaching me professionalism in a business setting, which also allows me to understand the responsibilities each individual has and how their path shaped them into being in recruitment, which was so helpful to understand each individuals career path at Element Recruitment. Also allowing me to get an insight into the recruitment industry and allow me to have expectations for my future career in Recruitment. Showing how this week has been very effective in building and gaining knowledge about Recruitment, I have learnt many new roles and tasks that links into recruitment. Therefore, Recruitment will be an occupation that I really think about in the future as my career.
