Job Title: Accounts Payable Assistant

Salary: £12.50 – £15.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Overview:
We are recruiting for an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant to join a well-established and reputable business based in Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive finance team on a 3-month temporary contract with the view to go permanent.
This role is ideal for someone with previous experience in accounts payable or purchase ledger, who is confident working in a fast-paced environment and can hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
- Matching, batching, and coding invoices
- Handling supplier queries and building strong relationships
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Assisting with payment runs
- Supporting the finance team with month-end processes
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach
- Confident using finance/accounting systems (e.g. Sage, SAP, Oracle – desirable but not essential)
- Immediately available or available at short notice
