Are you an experienced finance professional looking for your next opportunity in a supportive and growing team? Do you have solid Excel skills and some exposure to payroll?
Element Recruitment is working with a well-established organisation based in Central Bristol, looking for a Senior Finance Assistant to join them on a 6-month temporary contract, with the potential to go permanent.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a broad and varied finance role, offering hybrid working (3 days in the office) and a chance to make a real impact from day one.
Salary: £27,000 – £29,000 Hours: Full-time, hybrid (Mon, Wed & Thurs in-office) Start: ASAP Location: Central Bristol
Duties will include:
Managing daily banking and cashflow
Sales and purchase ledger responsibilities
Supporting monthly payroll (approx. 90 staff)
Month-end support: reconciliations, journals, and reporting packs
Handling finance queries and updating internal systems
Assisting with audits, budgets, and reporting
You will have:
Previous experience in a finance role
Strong Excel and QuickBooks knowledge
Some payroll experience or exposure
A proactive, organised approach and eye for detail
Great communication skills
