This is a commercial-facing role with a strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement, revenue optimisation, and proactive financial coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage WIP, supporting timely billing and assisting fee earners with valuations.

  • Ensure visibility of WIP pipeline, expected recoveries, payment methods, and billing schedules.

  • Support updates to client pricing in response to changes in scope.

  • Identify and escalate potential issues affecting profitability, liquidity, or operational risk.

  • Assist with reporting (e.g. lock-up reports, revenue projections) and deliver financial insights as needed.

  • Review dormant WIP cases, supporting closure of files or write-offs where appropriate.

  • Ensure accurate processing of suspended time to financial ledgers.

  • Contribute to the improvement of revenue recognition and cash collection processes.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a similar finance or revenue coordination role, ideally within a professional services environment.

  • Strong understanding of WIP management, billing processes, and revenue tracking.

  • Basic knowledge of SRA regulations and VAT as it relates to billing.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Highly organised with a proactive, commercially aware approach.

  • Proficient with finance systems and MS Office, especially Excel.

  • A problem-solver who can think critically and deliver high-quality outcomes under pressure.
