Permanent Quality & Risk Advisor

Element Recruitment are delighted to be working with a Professional Services firm in Bristol who are looking for a Quality & Risk Advisor to join them on a permanent basis. The successful applicant will act as an adviser to the business; offering advice on all aspects of professional conduct and regulation, compliance, risk and legal service quality issues including Anti-Money Laundering legislation and Conflicts management.

The main duties and responsibilities include:

  • Keep up to date with professional, legal and best practice developments and implement any steps to ensure the firm is up to date.
  • Identify and evaluate organisational risk factors
  • Drafting and maintenance of Team guidance, policies, processes and precedents
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge and understanding of data protection, privacy and security regulations.
  • Assessing the impact of new legislation

As well as experience as a Quality & Risk Advisor, as a successful candidate you will also have:

  • Experience in Compliance, Quality and/or Risk
  • Good understanding of relevant legislative and regulatory regimes, including:
      • The SRA Handbook
      • Anti-Money Laundering legislation
      • Bribery and Data Protection legislation
  • Ability to give pragmatic advice which appropriately balances the risks of non-compliance with the need for commerciality
  • Excellent attention to detail

This role is based in Bristol, with hybrid working and a competitive salary and benefits package.
