Private Client Tax Manager

Location: North Somerset
Job Type: Full-time (Flexible Working Considered)

I am on lookout for a talented Private Client Tax Manager to join one of my established practice firms Personal Tax team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from SME business owners to high-net-worth individuals. You'll have the chance to build strong client relationships, provide valuable tax advice, and work closely with experienced colleagues in a supportive and collaborative environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing your own portfolio of private clients, with support from senior stake holders.
  • Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns and computations within agreed deadlines.
  • Building trusted adviser relationships with clients and delivering exceptional client service.
  • Taking ownership of the tax return process, proactively managing workloads and priorities.
  • Handling a variety of tax matters, including disclosures, HMRC enquiries, international tax administration, and other ad hoc assignments.
  • Supporting the delivery of tax planning and advisory work.
  • Contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of processes within the tax team.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across the wider business to provide the best outcomes for clients.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong experience in private client or personal tax.
  • Confidence managing a client portfolio and working independently.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive and organised approach to work.
  • Experience preparing tax planning advice letters and reports would be advantageous.
  • A commitment to delivering outstanding client service.

What’s On Offer

  • Exposure to a wide variety of clients and tax matters.
  • A high level of autonomy and responsibility.
  • Ongoing support, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • A collaborative and approachable team culture.
  • Flexible working arrangements, including consideration of reduced hours and job-share opportunities.

My client believes their team works best when they are together, so this role is primarily office-based. However, flexibility is an important part of the firm’s culture, and they are committed to helping their people achieve a healthy work-life balance.

If you're looking for a role where you can make a real impact, develop your expertise, and grow your career within a supportive team, I'd love to hear from you!
