Payroll Administrator - Bristol - Central

Element Recruitment are working with a reputable and UK wide expanding business in Central Bristol, they are looking to recruit an experienced Payroll administrator (you can also have previous experience as an accounts assistant but with payroll included) to join their business initially on a 6 month fixed term contract. This role has been created due to the company’s recent growth and success.

This organisation is highly regarded in their industry and offer modern offices with fantastic public transport routes. They are a vibrant team; this would suit someone who thrives in a fast-pace and busy environment and the successful candidate will require strong attention to detail due to the nature of the role.

Role: Payroll Administrator

Duration: 6-month FTC

Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 (DOE)

Location: Central Bristol

Start Date: ASAP

Reporting into the Finance Controller, you will assume responsibility within their Payroll department and on occasion support other elements of the finance function (training can be provided).

Responsibility of the role:

  • Handling a high volume of queries from customers and clients
  • Setting up new starters and leavers
  • Processing payrolls weekly and monthly payrolls
  • Entering timesheets to employee reports
  • Supporting the production and process of daily payroll transactions
  • Processing new starters and leavers.
  • General office housekeeping/administrative duties for the payroll department
  • Ad-hoc work, including supporting the finance team

To be considered you will need the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience within Payroll is essential, can be within an account’s assistant role.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables & V-Lookups)
  • The ability to work as part of a team and a friendly attitude
  • Experience working on a variety of systems and processes
  • Ability to get stuck in and be pro-active
  • Be a team-player
  • Ability to work well in a fast-pace environment
