Management Accountant - West Midlands

This isn't a role where you’ll be hidden in a back office; you’ll report directly to the Managing Director, acting as a key commercial co-pilot during a pivotal era of growth. Element Recruitment is looking for a Management Accountant to join this thriving business.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, high-impact role within a fast-paced SME. You will bridge the gap across multiple layers of operational stakeholders, translating complex manufacturing data into the strategic insights that drive profitability.

• Commercial Insight: Own the P&L, deliver the "why" behind the "what," and provide the variance analysis that shapes operational decisions.
• Operational Partnership: Work side by side with Engineering, Production, and Commercial teams to sharpen product costing and margins.
• Modernisation: Play a leading role in optimising ERP systems, driving automation, and refining financial controls.
• End-to-End Ownership: From rolling forecasts and CAPEX appraisals to overseeing monthly payroll and year-end audit prep.

About You

We are looking for a commercially minded professional who thrives on accountability and loves the "nuts and bolts" of manufacturing.

• Qualified/Finalist: CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent (Part-qualified with strong experience also considered).
• Manufacturing Pedigree: You understand product costing, inventory valuation, and variances.
• Business Partnering: You’re comfortable being the "go-to" finance person and can pivot from high-level strategy to detailed payroll processing.
• Systems Driven: Advanced Excel skills are a must; ERP implementation or optimisation experience is a massive plus.
