Management Accountant - Stroud

Element are pleased to be recruiting for a management accountant to join a growing finance team. This is a great role for someone moving into their next role while finalising their qualification wanting to gain further experience from an engaging line manager.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting, with subsequent commentary.
• Oversee accounts payable processes to ensure efficient payment cycles and accurate record-keeping.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement in financial performance.
• Business partner across departments to develop budgets and forecasts that align with future organisational targets.
• Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors as required
• Mentorship of junior accounting staff, providing guidance on best practices.

Experience

• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Studying / finalist with ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (or equivalent experience)
• Demonstrated experience of working with complex finance systems
• Experience in mentoring or training junior staff members is advantageous.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team
• Strong communication skills
