Management Accountant - Somerset

Element are pleased to be exclusively representing a client for the appointment of a Management Accountant in their Somerset office. The ideal candidate will have prior exposure to month end management reporting, and exposure to elements of financial forecasting whilst having ownership of a subsidiary. 

Role & Responsibilities

• Providing strategic financial information for senior leadership
• Month end management reporting, with subsequent commentary
• Supporting the management team in driving efficiencies
• Raising purchase orders and miscellaneous payments
• Ensuring deadlines are met
• Resolving external and internal audit queries
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Attend monthly business reviews and report on contract performance
• Manage purchase invoice queries
• Identifying areas for continuous improvement where possible.

Key Characteristics 

• Qualified with a relevant Accounting Body (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) or equivalent experience
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and Accounting Systems
• Good stakeholder management
• Demonstrated experience of working to tight deadlines
• Good attention to detail
