Interim Project Accountant - Bristol - North

Interim Project Accountant | c£400-£500 a day | Bristol | 6 months

Our client is an exceptionally fast-growing, project delivery group based in North Bristol. As the business continues to scale and secure high-value projects, they require an immediate, heavy-hitting Interim Project Accountant to step into a newly created role. This is an environment with significant capital inflow and a high volume of moving parts, presenting an incredible opportunity for a solution orientated candidate to establish robust financial boundaries and operational control. 

The successful candidate will work closely with operations and commercial teams to ensure project financial information is accurate, complete and submitted on time. You will strengthen financial controls, improve reporting consistency and support the continued growth of the business. It will suit an analytical individual who has the confidence to work cross-functionally within a fast-paced project environment. 

The Role:

• Coordinate and prepare monthly multi-contract project valuations, ensuring accurate submissions within strict deadlines.
• Collate, review, and verify project data from site managers, operations, and commercial teams to resolve inconsistencies.
• Extract and maintain valuation data from operational trackers.
• Produce monthly valuation workings, supporting schedules, and revenue management information.
• Partner with finance and commercial teams to standardize reporting methodologies and drive process improvements.
• Maintain comprehensive supporting documentation and clear audit trails.

Your Profile:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Experience in a project accounting or commercial role
• Strong Excel skills 
• Knowledge of WIP or Project Reporting is desirable
