Health and Safety Manager - North Somerset

Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional looking for a hands-on role within a busy leisure and hospitality environment?

Our client, a successful and growing tourism business, is seeking a proactive Health & Safety Manager to help maintain high standards of safety, compliance and operational excellence across a large, multi-department site.

Working closely with senior leaders and operational teams, you'll be responsible for audits, inspections, compliance monitoring, incident investigations and promoting a positive safety culture throughout the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular health & safety inspections and audits
• Support incident reporting and investigations
• Monitor compliance actions and ensure timely completion
• Assist with risk assessments and safe systems of work
• Support managers with health & safety guidance and training
• Maintain accurate compliance records and reports
• Promote safe working practices across all departments

About You

• Previous experience in Health & Safety, compliance, facilities or operations
• Strong understanding of workplace safety and risk management
• Confident carrying out audits, inspections and investigations
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Proactive, detail-oriented and able to influence others positively

Desirable

• IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH qualification
• Experience within hospitality, leisure, tourism or visitor attractions
• Knowledge of COSHH, fire safety, contractor management and accident reporting
