Group Management Accountant | Malmesbury | £50,000 - £55,000

Working at the heart of a complex, multi-entity organisation, this Group Management Accountant role offers scope to influence decision-making across the business. Reporting to the Head of Group Accounting, you’ll deliver high-quality management accounts, insightful analysis, and accurate board reporting for all Group entities. With a focus on precision and efficiency, you’ll handle large volumes of data, ensure balance sheets are meticulously reconciled, and drive process improvements across systems and reporting. This is a pivotal position for a detail-driven finance professional who thrives in a fast-moving, multi-location environment.

The Role:

• Supporting the preparation of monthly and weekly Group financial reports, including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries
• Preparation of the monthly balance sheet reconciliations 
• Full ownership of areas of the P&L (Gross Profit) and Balance Sheet, providing detailed analysis of commentary
• Reconciling intercompany accounts
• Support providing forecasts and budget information to key stakeholders
• Calculating prepayments and accruals
• Conduct regular cost centre reviews, providing detailed analysis and commentary
• Support the on-boarding of acquisitions into the finance system and processes
• Support the external audit and preparation of the Group's statutory accounts
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support key business decisions and drive financial performance

Your Profile:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA / CIMA / ACCA)
• Experience working in a data rich environment
• Very strong analytically 
• Understanding of gross profit and revenue
• Understand accruals and variances
• Work autonomously
