Financial Accountant - Bristol - North

We are pleased to be supporing an established organisation in North Bristol that is currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join their team.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making. This position requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of financial management principles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with accounting standards.
• Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and PeopleSoft to streamline financial operations.
• Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights into financial performance.
• Mentor junior finance staff, fostering their development in financial accounting practices.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role within the financial services sector.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including financial accounting and management.
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) is essential.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders.
