Finance Manager | Gloucester | £60,000 - £70,000

We are partnering with a highly successful, international group as they prepare for a major chapter of global expansion. Before embarking on a series of high-profile acquisitions, they are focused on optimising their financial foundation, offering a unique, high-visibility role for an ambitious Finance Manager to shape operations, build a robust control environment, and step into the Controller seat as the business scales.

Reporting directly to a highly commercial Finance Director, this role offers the perfect balance: technical oversight, team leadership, and high-level stakeholder engagement.

The Role & Opportunity

You’ll play a central role in preparing the finance function for massive future scale, overseeing finance operations while acting as a key commercial partner to the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Control & Governance: Driving group-wide internal controls, maintaining high-standard financial governance, and ensuring robust reporting processes.
  • Compliance & Treasury: Managing annual audit processes, tax, payroll compliance, and treasury activities across international entities.
  • Finance Operations & Leadership: Managing and developing a small, dedicated finance team, mentoring them to higher levels of performance as the team grows. Oversight of the AP, AR and Credit Control function.
  • Senior Stakeholder Partnering: Acting as a trusted financial advisor to operational leads and cross-functional directors, helping translate complex financial data into actionable strategy.

Your Profile:

We need someone who can marry technical precision with exceptional interpersonal impact:

  • Qualified (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with a strong grounding in UK GAAP / IFRS, financial control, and statutory reporting.
  • A strong and natural communicator who thrives on building relationships with diverse, non-finance stakeholders. You have the confidence to present ideas clearly, push back constructively, and hold your ground when challenging senior leaders on key decisions.
  • You enjoy refining processes, bringing order to complex structures, and seeing the bigger picture.
  • Passionate about coaching and getting the best out of a small team.
