Finance Manager - Bristol - Central

Finance Manager | Central Bristol | Insurance | £55,000 - £65,000

Award-winning insurance organisation in Bristol is seeking a Finance Manager. You will be a qualified accountant with a technical leaning, most likely trained in practice, with experience of insurance. (Either in an insurance firm or working for an insurance client. The ideal candidate will have prior experience preparing statutory financial statements for a business with multiple subsidiaries. They offer excellent benefits and opportunity for progression!

Role & Responsibilities

• Preparation of financial statements, with subsequent commentary 
• Review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations 
• Undertake regulatory reporting requirements, ensuring appropriate controls are in place
• Liaising with external auditors, becoming the key point of contact 
• Review of monthly payroll 
• Ensure a framework of robust financial control
• Ensure appropriate advice is delivered in line with FRS102
• Deputising for senior members of finance on an ad hoc basis 

Key Characteristics

• ACA / ACCA Qualified 
• Experience in Financial Services (Prefferrably Insurance)
• Prior experience working as part of a team effectively 
• Good communication skills, able to effectively manage relationships 
• Excellent administrative skillset
• Prior people management experience would be advantageous
