Element Recruitment is pleased to be working with a leading international business within the retail and consumer goods sector, who are looking to appoint a Credit Risk Analyst to join their growing London-based finance team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, global environment and wants to play a key role in managing financial risk, improving processes, and supporting commercial decision-making across multiple markets.

As Credit Risk Analyst, you’ll take responsibility for assessing and monitoring the creditworthiness of new and existing customers, ensuring sound commercial decisions are made while maintaining strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners across different regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and monitor customer credit limits across international markets.
  • Conduct financial analysis using internal data and external credit agency reports.
  • Support global credit risk reporting and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with commercial and finance teams to make informed risk decisions.
  • Recommend appropriate credit terms and take proactive action on overdue accounts.
  • Assist with the design and enhancement of credit control and risk assessment processes.
  • Provide insight on risk exposure across multiple entities and regions.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis and projects within the finance and commercial teams.

We’re looking for someone analytical, commercially minded, and confident in making data-driven decisions. You’ll enjoy working with stakeholders across multiple countries and thrive in a business that values initiative and collaboration.

You will ideally have:

  • Proven experience in a Credit Risk Analyst or Credit Controller / Risk role.
  • Experience within Retail, FMCG, or Consumer Goods.
  • International exposure (Europe, US, or Asia preferred).
  • Strong analytical and Excel skills; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Fluency in an additional European language (such as French, Spanish, or Italian) would be highly desirable.
