Credit Controller - Bristol

Element Recruitment are  working with a leading business in Bristol who are looking for a Credit Controller to join their growing finance team.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start a career in finance. You don’t need previous credit control experience -  if you have worked in a call centre, customer service or other phone-based role and are confident speaking to people, this could be a great next step.

The Role

You’ll be joining an established finance team and will be responsible for helping to manage outstanding payments and build strong relationships with customers.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Contacting customers by phone and email regarding outstanding payments
• Managing a portfolio of customer accounts
• Dealing with queries and resolving payment issues
• Keeping customer records and account information up to date
• Processing payments and allocating them to accounts
• Monitoring outstanding invoices and following up when required
• Working closely with the wider finance team
• Supporting with general finance administration

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has strong communication and telephone skills
• Has previous experience in customer service, call centre, sales or another phone-based role
• Is confident having conversations with customers
• Is organised and has good attention to detail
• Is comfortable having potentially challenging conversations
• Is keen to move into a career within finance
