Credit Controller - Bristol - North

We’re working in partnership with a highly successful, multi-site business that’s currently going through a period of exciting change and growth. We are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is confident managing customer accounts, resolving queries, and playing a key role in improving cash flow performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts in line with payment terms

• Chasing overdue accounts and proactively reducing debtor days

• Investigating and resolving customer queries efficiently; escalating where necessary

• Recording invoice disputes accurately and ensuring they are followed up appropriately

• Reconciling customer accounts to maintain ledger accuracy

• Carrying out customer credit checks in line with Group policy and managing credit limits

• Liaising with internal departments to resolve queries impacting payment

• Assisting with weekly credit control reporting and tracking KPIs

• Supporting wider finance projects and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

• Participating in cross-training within the Finance team

• Ensuring compliance with company policies and maintaining strong internal relationships

About You

• Experience in a credit control or accounts receivable role

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• A confident and assertive approach to credit management

• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills

• Able to work independently and as part of a wider team

• Familiarity with ERP systems and good Excel skills

• A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and grow
