Credit Control and Billing Manager - Bristol

£45,000 - £55,000 + benefits - Accountancy / Finance

Element Recruitment are proud to be working with a very successful national business who are looking for a Credit Control and Billing Manager. As a direct report to the CFO, the role holder will be responsible for managing the safe and reliable execution of complex operational processes to support delivery of Cash Management products and services, achieveing this by leadership of teams in multiple sites. Responsibility for the controlled management of Cash Management Operations resulting in business revenue.

Daily duties will cover:

  • Managing a team of 8 heads directly and indirectly.
  • Managing the safe and reliable execution of operational processes to support delivery of complex Cash Management products and services co-ordinating with stakeholders across operations, technology, product delivery functions and coverage.
  • Accountable for workflow/productivity management ensuring agreed volumes are processed each day to meet service level agreements across all areas of responsibility. Managing variance to agreed volumes ensuring best endeavours servicing of over demand and forward planning to accommodate and finance into the cost model accordingly.
  • Drive an effective control environment and develop strong risk culture. Implement, deliver and monitor Regulatory Standards, to minimise and mitigate business risk.
  • Responsible for the management of the allocated cost centre, supporting the Head of the business area in delivering to year-end target expectations for finances, FTE and customer satisfaction profile against agreed operational Service Level agreement standards and internal Operational level agreements with, or from, other areas of the business.
  • Accountable for a number of complex deliverables including departmental forecasting and capacity planning, process execution and business reporting, meeting or exceeding internally agreed targets and SLA's.
  • Role holder will be responsible alongside Head of CMO & Billing Operations, for the design, execution and reporting of Business Strategy including key performance metrics, short and long term deliverables to benefit the local and wider business agendas.
  • Lead Innovation, idea generation and respective developments for process improvement and all ideas under continuous improvement as part of wider Business Strategy.

To be considered for this role you must have experience in Operational Management, managing high performing teams to drive results and excellence. You will need to have a solid background in Credit and Billings with proven experience of operating a mature control environment and embedding strong risk cultures. You will need to have proven experience of successfully leading and managing a diverse change / continuous improvement agenda.
