Element Recruitment are partnering with an established legal practice looking for a Conveyancing Administrator/Assistant to join their busy and expanding Conveyancing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and proactive individual looking to develop their career within residential conveyancing. Working closely with experienced Conveyancing Solicitors, you'll play a key role in supporting a varied caseload while ensuring clients receive an excellent level of service throughout the property transaction process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to senior Conveyancing Solicitors across a varied residential property caseload.
  • Assist with freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity and Right to Buy transactions.
  • Prepare legal correspondence, documents and reports.
  • Open new client files and manage ongoing file administration.
  • Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and third parties to ensure transactions progress efficiently.
  • Assist with post-exchange work through to completion.
  • Support post-completion matters, including submitting SDLT (Stamp Duty Land Tax) returns and Land Registry applications.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation is completed to a high standard.
  • Monitor transaction progress, meet deadlines and keep fee earners updated on key milestones.
  • Deliver a professional and responsive service to clients throughout the conveyancing process.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Conveyancing Administrator, Conveyancing Assistant role.
  • Experience supporting residential property transactions is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workloads.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
