Business Analyst - Remote Based

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our large public sector client on a permanent contract. Within this role you will be an essential part of the team to help the implementation and development of continuous improvement processes and methods across the organisation. You will work alongside product managers and subject matter experts to understand and analyse emerging business needs, document detailed requirements based on business needs from which technology change will be developed and tested against and develop components of new Target Operating Models including business processes, IT requirements, roles, organisation structures, funding models etc.

Skills and Abilities

  • Build collaborative relationships and solve issues by engaging the right people at the right time
  • Business Analyst with core software / system / technical experience (we are looking for a more technical BA than a user researcher)
  • Strong knowledge of requirements engineering & wider SDLC
  • Experience with Service Now, JIRA would be desirable
  • Public / Healthcare knowledge useful
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Lead the team, accepting responsibility for achievement of business objectives and creating a shared sense of ownership for service delivery
  • Engage widely with customers to seek input into setting strategic objectives and identifying new ideas and improved ways of working
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, influence, and accountability for the achievement of results 
  • Recognise when change is required and demonstrate personal ownership for pursuing, communicating and implementing the change, whilst minimising the motivational impact on others

Experience and Knowledge

  • Experience of applying Strategic Analysis methodologies
  • Experience of reporting to Senior Management teams
  • Experience of preparing high quality presentation materials for use with senior managers
  • Experience of facilitation and workshop techniques would be desirable
  • Extensive experience of working with Information Technology using Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) with good knowledge of Microsoft Project
