Element Recruitment are partnering with a successful manufacturing company based in Avonmouth, who are looking for a Temporary Assistant Operations Manager. This is an initial 3-month assignment.
Paying: £19.23 per hour Hours: 40 per week working 8.30am – 5pm
3 month contract, potentially longer
As Assistant Operations Manager, you will support the Operations Manager and Operations Director in driving performance, maintaining high site standards, and ensuring production targets are met. You will oversee shift performance, training, and compliance, quality, and health & safety standards.
A Supervisor looking to take the next step up and has the right attitude will be considered
You will be:
Assisting with production planning and scheduling
Leading and developing supervisors across all shifts
Ensuring compliance and company standards
Monitoring and improving staff performance and training
Supporting recruitment, inductions, and shift staffing
Reporting and addressing maintenance needs
Championing health & safety and continuous improvement initiatives
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience working within production, manufacturing or engineering experience
Assertive leadership and clear communication skills
Strong organisational and time management abilities
Experience co-ordinating teams and shift planning
Computer literacy and confidence using CRM systems
A professional attitude with the ability to lead by example
Desirable:
SIGMA or Lean training
