Assistant Management Accountant

Element are pleased to be supporting a long standing client for the appointment of a management accountant into their finance team. This role with primarily be supporting with month end management reporting as well as some ownership of transactional duties. The ideal candidate will be AAT Qualified, and looking to work towards further accountancy qualification such as ACCA or CIMA
Role & Responsibilities
- Sales invoicing and ownership of sales ledger control account
- Preparation of VAT Returns
- Providing cover for transactional members of the finance team on an ad hoc basis
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Working closely with external auditors
- Assisting with month end management reporting
- Providing monthly reports for submission to group functions
Key Characteristics
- AAT Qualified to Level 4
- Working towards further accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) would be desirable
- Good Microsoft Excel Experience
- Able to work seamlessly as part of a fluid finance function
- Good communication skills
