We are working with a national organisation who is looking for an Assistant Finance Business Partner.
This will support the Finance Business Partner in reporting the financial position of several services within the group. As a key member of the Finance Business Partnering Team, you will play an integral role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and insightful analysis to aid effective decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the production of monthly management accounts including the preparation of accruals, prepayments, transactional analysis, and monthly reforecasts.
- Support the Finance Business Partner in ensuring the leadership team is kept fully informed of financial matters and maintain robust budgetary control across sites.
- Contribute to financial modelling and performance analysis to evaluate service delivery and drive improvements.
- Prepare annual budgets and monthly reforecasts for assigned services.
- Deliver balance sheet reconciliations and manage intercompany recharges.
- Provide clear and meaningful financial commentary and analysis.
- Support and guide on-site finance staff, embedding robust financial controls and processes.
- Contribute to insightful analysis, performance monitoring, and continuous financial improvement.
Qualifications:
- AAT qualified or actively studying towards CIMA (or equivalent) – preferred.
- Proven experience working in a finance function, with a strong understanding of monthly management accounts and reporting.
- Prior exposure to working in an educational or multi-site environment is advantageous.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems.
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
- Effective communicator with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
