Summary We are looking for a professionally qualified Finance Payables Manager.

 You’ll have the responsibility for Accounts Payable and Cash Management. You’ll shape the Purchase to Pay strategy and ensure that policy is effective, current and complied with. You’ll have the ability to influence, make decisions and successfully lead and engage others to deliver goals, and compliance. Engagement in projects and to lead and deliver best practice, continuous improvement and automation will be a key part of this role and prior experience in this area is pivotal. What you'll be doing You’ll head up the Finance Service Centre, Accounts Payable and Cash Management functions. Leading senior managers and teams in the key activities of the Purchase to Pay cycle, delivering quality transactional processing to ensure accurate and timely payments are made in compliance with Trust policy, and controls to ensure the continuous supply of goods and services.

 

Providing related query and training support to all staff and third-party suppliers. As a professional Finance Payables Manager with technical expertise and experience you will shape and lead the delivery of Finance Payables strategy, drive compliance, upskill staff and instigate/lead projects, further improving and affecting Finance Service Centre operations.

 

A key part of the role will be instigating, leading and participating in projects on a number of systems related to Finance Service Centre processes and functions.

The Finance Payables Manager has ownership for delivering a 1st class Accounts Payable & Cash Management service to Operations, Consultancy, Whole Trust and Support Services within the .

You’ll ensure compliance with  company credit policy, controls, regulations and Service Level Agreements Who we're looking for In order to be considered for this role, you’ll need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

 

 AAT qualified or part ACCA qualified. Accounts Payable Association certified and / or qualified by experience in Senior Accounts Payable position. • Prior experience of instigating and leading projects and delivering results, further efficiencies and best practice. • Extensive senior Accounts Payable leadership experience in a large organisation with process and systems technical expertise. • A commercial awareness and first class analytical and customer service skills. • Ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills, be proactive and motivate others. The ability to upskill staff. • Ability to take ownership, problem solve, plan, make decisions and find solutions to complex challenges. • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.

Experience in the use of Finance ERP packages. The company uses Agresso (Unit 4) and Microsoft Dynamics Navision
