Accounts Assistant - Gloucester

Accounts Assistant | Gloucester | £25,000 - £30,000    

We are working exclusively with a successful business in the Gloucestershire area who are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their growing finance team!

You will be responsible for:

• To provide a professional and timely accounting service in respect to all payments of invoices and expenses through the Purchase Ledger to include credit card reconciliations, VAT and CIS returns.
• Provide assistance to the Group Financial Controller with stock reconciliations at month end
• To ensure that the Purchase Ledger is accurately maintained and process deadlines/ payment dates are met
• To manage CIS and ensure all subcontractors are verified and correct tax treatment is applied
• Ensure adherence to month-end deadlines.
• Stock/WIP reconciliations at month end
• Bank Reconciliations
• At times assist with Sales Ledger duties which could include credit control
• Assist with VAT

You will need:

• Relevant knowledge and understanding in a similar role.
• A strong ability to build effective working relationships with employees and external stakeholders/suppliers.
• The ability to work effectively in a team environment and to process deadlines.
• High attention to detail and an orderly approach to processing.
• Expense claim processing knowledge and understanding.
• Good working knowledge of MS packages, including word, spreadsheets, databases.
