Accounts Assistant - Somerset

Do you have experience working in an accounting function?

Are you looking to pursue a career within accounting?

Due to growth of the business, we are recruiting for a business in Wells who need an Accounts Assistant in Wells. This is a full-time, permanent position.  

Duties include:

  • Reconciliation and settlement of insurer statements on a monthly basis
  • Daily bank reconciliations including posting client receipts
  • Processing client refunds
  • Liaising with insurance companies regarding outstanding queries
  • Responding to/helping other members of the company with account queries
  • Administrative tasks

Required skills:

  • Desire to pursue a career within accounting
  • Good Excel and IT skills
  • An aptitude for numbers and problem solving
  • Excellent organisational skills

Beneficial:

  • Recently or part qualified at AAT level
  • Started or enrolled to start an accountancy qualification

This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday 09.00-17.30
