Tora Atkinson has made it to the final 4 of the Young Business Person of the Year Category for the Gloucestershire Live Business Awards 2019!!!!!

Tora Atkinson joined Element when we’d only been running 8 months. Initially Tora focussed on the Bristol region but being from Cheltenham she was keen to build relationships with clients closer to home. She focussed on the Gloucester, Wiltshire & Swindon regions and quickly found success, ending the year as the best performing consultant on the team. Due to the levels of business Tora was bringing in she needed to grow her team so she recruited Hara Duberley at the end of last year.

It quickly became apparent that we needed to open a second office to allow Tora and Hara to spend more time meeting clients and candidates and less time commuting to Bristol. We opened the Barnwood office in May and haven’t looked back. Tora and Hara have received overwhelming support from their local networks, their clients are keen to support a small business and see them thrive.

Personally Tora and Hara have felt the difference in working closer to home, allowing them more time to spend time with friends and family and they’ve also enjoyed attending lots of local networking events.

Tora has been an excellent role model for Hara and we’ve seen Hara develop into a credible and professional consultant. Tora really cares about the people she works with and we really miss her energy and humour in the Bristol office. On the days Tora visits Bristol the office has a real buzz and benefits from her enthusiasm.

We are very proud that Tora has been shortlisted for the Young Business Person of the Year award, she really deserves this accolade. She’s an accomplished recruiter but having taken on the additional responsibility of running an office she’d developed into a well rounded business person. She has leant new skills in Compliance, Legal, Facilities, HR and Accounts, she’s responsible for a budget and feels confident to make decisions that are right for the company.

We are all excited about the awards evening at Cheltenham Racecourse on the 10th October and look forward to celebrating your nomination (and hopefully win!) with you.

Good luck Tora!!!
