Temporary Buyer - Bristol

Element Recruitment are working alongside a construction company who are in urgent new of a Temporary Buyer. This role potentially could go permanent for the right person.

100% office based

Pay £15.00 - £25.00 per hour DOE

If you are from a procurement / buying role within construction, then the rate is negotiable on to a day rate as you'll be able to hit the ground running

Duties include:

• Work alongside and provide cover for the Senior Buyer

• Obtain quotes for Concrete & Stone for the Engineers enabling them to tender for jobs, ensure a copy of the quote is saved in the project enquiry folder. From the project summary, plan and programme deliveries etc to ensure maximum profitability and ensure works can be completed in the contract time limit.

• Placing orders for materials, plant hire and consumables for upcoming contracts and stock, confirming this with issuing a system generated order and receiving an order confirmation to be attached within the system. Working with our current bank of suppliers

• Liase with Site Mangers/Foremen re the delivery schedules, materials received on site. Ensuring quantity and quality is as requested

• Review off hire reports to ensure that all plant has been off hired/stood down at the end of each project , flag any issues to the Site Managers

• Collating information for the Commercial Manager

• Maintain the daily tracker

You will need:

• Buying or procurement experience

• Experience working within the construction or engineering 

• Be able to work 100% in the office

• To be able to be confident picking up the phone and chasing suppliers for updates
