A fantastic opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to join a successful and progressive firm as a Tax Accountant.  The right candidate must be very numerical, have a strong written and verbal communication skills and most importantly, must be good in person. This role offers study support which will benefit someone who is looking to progress within this company.

Responsibilities:

• assisting with the group’s Corporation Tax and VAT reporting
• tax accounting, including assisting with internal quarterly reporting and the year end audit process;
• assisting with the identification; mapping and implementation of improvements to the group’s tax functions to help manage risks and increase efficiencies;
• Month end VAT journals and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assistance with preparation of annual corporation tax returns

Skills

• Previous experience of UK VAT returns is essential
• Studying for or qualified to ATT/ACCA/ACA standard or equivalent
• Previous experience of UK business tax reporting and compliance
• Highly numerate and proficient Excel user
