We have partnered with a global engineering company based in Bath, we are recruiting for a Systems Data & Testing Manager. You will be responsible for supporting the Finance Transactional Systems Manager with the migration of 60+ entities from legacy finance systems to the global ERP system, Dynamics 365.

The key deliverables of this role are:

  • To work closely with other internal teams, including IT, Operations to ensure successful implementation of D365 globally
  • To develop an understanding of key finance system processes in order to support data & testing activity
  • To deliver a standardised finance D365 data migration, testing & cutover approach across all implementations

The role is based in Bath, with some expectation of some limited travel, within the UK and overseas

Key Responsibilities

D365 Project Implementation Responsibilities

Data

•Ensure the data migration approach is defined and documented

•Work with the local finance team to ensure any data enrichment/cleanse activities are completed as required

•Work with IT to ensure sufficient reporting is available to support data reconciliation activities

•Work with IT and local Finance to setup reconciliation templates to facilitate a swift and efficient turnaround of reconciliations

•Work with the D365 Data team to understand any points of failure in the reconciliation, and keep track of IT/Microsoft progress to resolve outstanding issues

•Assist & perform data reconciliation activities where required

Process & Testing

•Work with external suppliers to ensure a thorough understanding of D365 process design

•Work with external suppliers and local finance to create a library of test scenarios, capturing both global and local testing requirements

•Ensure the capture & reporting of test results is optimal and clear dashboards exists to facilitate progress reporting and go/no go decision making

•Monitor the resolution of identified issues and ensure action is taken as required to drive forward to a point of resolution

•Perform UAT on system administration activities and assist in general UAT activities where required

•Work with the Finance Controllership team to ensure they have sufficient documentation/ understanding to evidence the application of the Business Controls Framework within D365 and these have been tested appropriately.

Cutover

•Support cutover activities as required

Other Projects

•Support upgrade and implementation of Other Transactional Finance Systems as required, including the expenses and payroll systems.

•Work closely with the Finance FP&A team to ensure D365 remains aligned with and supports the optimisation of Analytics & Reporting.

•Work with Head of Finance Transformation to build out the new Finance Sharepoint Hub for data & testing content.

Essential

•Excellent level of knowledge and experience of Finance ERP processes and system implementations

•Numerate and Analytical skill set with strong Excel and Power BI skills

•Highly organised; flexible and focussed with an easy ability to prioritise

•Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written skills (ability to communicate across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders)

Desirable

•Experience of Financial Reporting systems (SAGE, SAP BPC, D365, OneStream)

•Experience of the Microsoft Power Platform/RPA automation technology
