Senior Full Stack Developer

Hybrid - London & Flexible Working

£65,000 - £75,000

 

The business that I am recruiting for is a platform, which delivers support to tech teams. Their platform delivers cutting edge solutions to mainly critical service teams across the UK, redefining the service experience. Their main clients include the Police, charities, housing association and councils.

 

About The Role:

With significant growth over the past year, they are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to enhance its current workload, with several complex and innovative features, working closely with our onshore and offshore development teams.

 

They are looking for an individual who enjoys technical challenges and solving complex problems with clean, concise, and reusable code. You must take pride in the code quality you deliver and enjoy mentoring and learning from others. As a Full Stack Developer, you should be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries.

 

The role will be based in our London offices with occasional remote working available.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • To work with onshore and offshore development teams to ideate software solutions.
  • To architect the code patterns and to ensure that these are followed throughout the development life cycle.
  • Takes accountability for the technical quality of team’s output as a whole. Being thoroughly involved from architectural and system design sessions to code review and in evaluating performance in production.
  • To work with data engineers and data scientists to improve features and functionality.
  • To mentor and train junior developers on best practices and coding patterns.
  • To ensure that all new features and designs have efficient test coverage and responsiveness.
  • To help deliver complex feature rich functionality for true “Tech for good”, at pace.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Track record of building and deploying full-stack, distributed web applications.
  • Expert understanding of software architecture and design principles.
  • Strong experience in React, Redux and TypeScript.
  • Strong experience using REST APIs and WebSockets.
  • Experience with build automation and source control systems.
  • Expert understanding of build configuration and automation in a CI environment.
  • Experience working with CI tools (ideally Azure Pipelines).
  • Experience working within an Agile, DevOps environment.
  • Strong experience with testing frameworks and libraries.
  • Proficiency with TDD & BDD.
  • Understanding of Accessibility best practices.
  • Strong experience on front end with Node JS, Angular JS, HTML/CSS and supporting technologies.
  • Comfortable writing technical documentation for knowledge share and support.
  • Any experience managing/mentoring small development teams, both onshore and offshore, is a bonus.
