Senior Credit Controller - Bristol

You will be working for this high performing, established business in Bristol who are looking for a Senior Credit Controller. This predominately phone based role is designed to achieve high collection rates through proactive outbound calling to meet both call and cash collection targets. In addition this role also handles a high volume of inbound Credit Control and Customer Service related queries.

Key Responsibilities:      

  • Handling between 60-80 calls a day both inbound and outbound.
  • Chasing and collecting payments via telephone, letter and email.
  • Dealing with/solving queries on invoices with both internal departments and external customers.
  • Completing thorough DPA checks with all customers.
  • Supporting vulnerable customers through CFS process and ensuring that all customers requiring additional assistance are aware of all available options.
  • Proactively work to Key Performance Indicators to ensure that all agreed objectives are met. These will predominately be around call and cash collection targets.
  • Monitoring and placement of all standing order and direct debit mandates.
  • Maintenance of credit control records ensuring contact records are accurate and up to date at all times.
  • Ensure all credit notes and adjustment invoices are prepared accurately and dispatched in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that a high standard of financial control is applied to all processes and that the controls in place will stand up to scrutiny from Internal and External Audit.
  • Flexibility and knowledge of systems and process change.
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels, communicates effectively, build trust and influence stakeholders.
  • To support the ethos of professionalism, team spirit and innovation.

This role is full time permanent Monday-Friday 11.30am-8pm. You will need to have the following aspects with your experience:

  • Minimum two years credit control experience.
  • Ideally previous experience with high value debt in corporate and retail environments.
  • Can work in a face paced team and have own initiative and feel empowered to make suggestions for change.
