Risk Manager / Head of Risk - Bristol

Element are partnering exclusively alongside a leading Bristol based client to recruit a Risk Manager/Head of Risk. You will be report directly into CFO and support the business forming the risk strategy to aid the 3-5 year business plan.

You will be naturally hands-on and looking for a new challenge within a fast paced and changing environment.

As a Risk Manager your key focus areas will include;

• Business Partnering – supporting non-finance leaders across the business, providing advice and support
• Expertise – Providing coaching and guidance at all levels of the business, from Enterprise Risk at Board level to risk assessment at a functional level
• Reporting - Preparation of risk and internal control reports for the Audit & Risk Committee, identifying areas for improvement and escalating decisions as appropriate
• Planning - Provide support and guidance on the production and maintenance of Business Continuity Plans, ensuring they are comprehensive and reflect best practice

The Profile​

• Ideally Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 0-3 years PQE
• Experience dealing with all levels of an organisation
• Proven exposure to financial / Operational risk, with a technical understanding of group structures
• A hands-on personality type, with an ability to develop and shape processes within a fast-paced environment
