Job Title - Part Time Payroll Analyst (c. 20 hours per week)

Location - North Bristol

Salary - £24 -28,000 + comprehensive benefits

The role:

To support the Payroll function, via the consistent service delivery of payroll analysis and administration, including processing, reconciliation and reporting.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintain and support iTrent and other employee data sources
  • Support the Payroll team with all monthly processing tasks in a timely manner, ensuring system accuracy for the monthly Payroll deadlines
  • Maintain the HR/Payroll system with due care to company policies, employment legislation, and the principles of the Data Protection Act
  • Proactively provide suggestions for system enhancements and process development to improve the customer experience and increase compliance
  • Keep up to date with Payroll best practice and HR Shared Services activities in order to be able to respond to queries effectively
  • Promote compliance to process by educating and supporting Line Managers on Payroll administration procedures
  • Respond to payroll queries liaising with the HR team where necessary
  • Provide high quality reporting and statistics for Line Managers and Senior Management
  • Prepare monthly KPI and absence data for Senior Management
  • Reconcile payroll and pensions data ensuring statutory and company requirements are met
  • Effectively communicate externally and internally; acting as a point of contact for all Line Managers and employees
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal contacts, including the HR Business Partners and HR Advisory team
  • Supporting the HR Shared Service to ensure as a team we all deliver the best possible experience to our customers
  • Support the change agenda to streamline HR administration processes; embracing a cycle of continuous improvement
  • Fully participate with and support the Payroll Manager, HR Shared Services Manager and HR Advisors in their co-ordination of any business initiatives that impact on Payroll
  • System Administration
  • Have responsibility for the iTrent Payroll blueprint ensuring the configuration document is kept up to date with any system changes and administer those changes as required
  • Responsible for managing Organisational Details, System Administration and security settings on iTrent

Skills and experience required:

Essential

  • Excellent payroll knowledge/experience
  • Advanced knowledge of, and experience with, spreadsheets and reporting
  • GSCE English and Maths Grade C or above (or equivalent qualification)
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer service experience
  • Self-reliant, able to act on own initiative
  • Methodical and process orientated
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to carry out duties with integrity and in a confidential manner

Desirable

  • Experience of iTrent HR database.
  • Experience of SAP Business Objects
