Head of Finance - East Midlands

We are recruiting for a Head of Finance for a respected brand in Leicester. As a FTSE 250 listed UK business, the business’s focus is on delivering first class business solutions and building long-term relationships with customers, employees and the supply chain.

The Head of Finance will have responsibility for the timely production of accurate financial reporting on the East Midlands Business. Working closely with the East Midlands board the role will offer financial support and guidance to continually improve the financial performance and cash collection of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the planning and development of the East Midlands business strategy and advising on the financial impact of long range planning.
  • Produce/review monthly management accounts and forecasts in line with company deadlines and working to the requirements of the Regional FD.
  • Identify financial risk and opportunity within the East Midlands business and work closely with the board and senior managers to effectively manage these.
  • Dealing with the financial requirements of the East Midlands JV’s.
  • Assist the business unit board on financial issues that impact budgeting to ensure continued improvement of the process throughout the region. Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making that will affect the regional business.
  • Lead, motivate and energise the financial interests of the regional business by establishing a clear vision and strong communication.
  • In conjunction with Finance Manager, ensure all financial information and procedures comply with Group accounting standards and policy.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • CIMA, ACCA, ACMA
  • At least 5 years experience in a senior Finance position
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the UK occasionally as required
  • Demonstrable strong financial management and commercial experience and track record of supporting business growth
  • An enthusiastic leader and strong team player, with the entrepreneurial ability to operate and excel in a changing and rapidly growing environment
  • Well developed analytical, oral and presentation/communication skills
  • Ability to formulate financial plans (long term and tactical) and ensure full engagement
  • Gravitas and ability to influence change and build strong financial management within the business.
