Group Financial Controller - Somerset

Your primary focus as Group Financial Controller is to take responsibility for all inventory and general accounting. This is a business critical role which is crucial for shaping the transformation of the finance team. You will have significant general ledger experience with a strong understanding of technical accounting, along with proven team management experience.

Duties include:

• Lead the delivery of processes for inventory accounting, overheads accounting, inter-company, month and year-end close
• Produce and deliver analysis with explanation on financial transactions to aid understanding of financial position
• Manage and deliver a robust controls environment for agreed record to report accounting processes to ensure delivery in line with group policy
• Review, develop and improve financial accounting processes / operations to create efficiency and reduce workload
• Create an environment that drives a highly competent, energetic, engaged and motivated team
• Monitoring performance of all teams against KPI's and acting swiftly to oversee the achievement of agreed targets

You will have:

• Accountancy qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Strong understanding of technical accounting
• Excellent commercial-awareness
• Proven team management experience
