As Financial Reporting Manager, you will be working for a dynamic and growing, multi-national organisation. Reporting directly in to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for a team of 10 and will be able to work independently to manage the workload and task deadlines to a high standard of quality and efficiency. You will have a strong technical accounting background and experience of managing a team. The successful candidate will require strong business partnering skills to work across the wider finance and accounting functions multi-nationally.

Duties include:

  • Managing the monthly accounting close
  • Maintain robust and compliant accounting processes to ensure accurate reporting of both the P&L and Balance Sheet
  • Direct and manage the tasks of the accounting team, Accounts Payable (including travel), Accounts Receivable, Cost Accounting, Compliance, Statutory Accounting, Taxation, Payroll/Labour Accounting and Reporting
  • Lead the annual preparation and subsequent external audit of statutory financial statements for multiple legal entities ensuring compliant and timely filing
  • Lead the timely, accurate and compliant filing of all taxation matters, VAT, Corporation Tax, PAYE and NI for multiple legal entities
  • Assist the Senior Accounting Officer in maintaining compliant taxation reporting processes within HMRC approved guidelines
  • Assist Finance and Business leaders with the co-ordination of new business and assess the impact upon established accounting processes
  • This role will support (dotted line) the goals and objectives of the CFO, this includes being part of the Finance Leadership Team
  • Provide support and input to team goals and objectives and participate in initiatives that will benefit the organisation

You will have:

  • Accountancy Qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Excellent people management skills (Coaching/Teaching/Mentoring)
  • Ability to develop a diverse team of individuals
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Advanced Accounting Theory and Knowledge – UK & US GAAP
  • VAT, PAYE and Corporation Tax Knowledge
  • Good Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
