Financial Process & Controls Manager - Swindon

Due to expansion, we are recruiting a newly created position for a Finance and Process Control Manager to join a leading and well established organisation in Chippenham.

As it is a newly created role, you have the opportunity to in effect write your own job description as you see fit to meet the core functionality of the outcomes of the role. Reporting to the Finance Director, this role will provide assurance to senior management through the design, communication and monitoring of processes and controls across finance teams with particular focus on quality of financial services & conformance with standard procedures and policies.  This role is as much about providing guidance regarding best practice & hands-on support as it is about identifying risks and providing governance.

Key areas include:

• Delivery of an annual Financial Assurance Plan to test and improve controls and procedures including a quarterly report for the Financial Assurance Committee
• Risk review of all major change projects that involve finance processes and controls  Finance Assurance Program design, approval and completion
• Maintenance and documentation of specific Finance Policies
• Creating of best practice Standard Operating Procedures for finance, controls testing for Finance  reviewed and updated annually

Your Profile:

• A qualified accountant  (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• A strong technical accounting background and experience with implementing controls
• Strong communicator / ability to influence senior stake holders
