If you are looking for an opportunity to work for an organisation with plans for future growth and opportunities for progression, this role could be for you. As the Financial Accountant, you will report directly in to the Finance Director and will be responsible for the preparation of the monthly and annual financial statements, payroll, taxation, treasury and compliance matters. You will support the decision-making processes & enjoy getting into the detail.

You will be responsible for:

  • Produce management accounts and financial information on a timely and accurate basis.
  • Manage year end external reporting process
  • Produce weekly revenue and operational reports/KPI’s for management
  • Process monthly payroll submission to payroll provider
  • Prepare monthly VAT and Intrastat reports
  • Monitor daily & weekly cash flow on bank facility. Manage monthly payments in conjunction with Purchase Ledger clerk.
  • Preparation of cash flow forecasts in conjunction with credit controller and FD
  • Preparation of monthly balance reconciliations for FD review
  • Ensure that all accruals and prepayments are documented and properly calculated.
  • Support annual budget and quarterly forecasting process
  • Contribute to ongoing system and process development
  • Production of overhead reporting for budget holders
  • Deputise for other team members as required

 

You will have:

  • Accountancy Qualification or finalist (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)  
  • Excellent attention to detail and track record in delivering personal and team objectives
  • Ability to meet deadlines and maintain focus under pressure
  • A willingness to improve ways of working – open to change
  • High levels of professional integrity
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication skills with non-finance stakeholders
  • Commitment to professional development and willingness to take on additional responsibility both technically and in terms of people management
