Finance Operations Manager - Gloucester

Element Recruitment is pleased to be working with a global business who are seeking an experienced Finance Operations Manager to lead and oversee the day-to-day financial operations of their organization.

You will manage a team of four transactional staff, ensuring the efficient delivery of key financial processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven professional to take ownership of finance operations within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 4 transactional finance staff, providing mentorship, support, and performance management.
• Oversee end-to-end processes for accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor and optimize cash flow, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliations.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls and financial processes to align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and present regular reports on key financial metrics to senior management.
• Drive process improvements and efficiencies within the finance operations function.
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and external auditors.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes as needed.

About You

• Proven experience in a similar finance operations or managerial role.
• Strong technical knowledge of financial processes, including AP/AR and reconciliations.
• Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing teams.
• Proficiency in financial systems and tools, with advanced Excel skills.
• A detail-oriented and proactive approach, with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to prioritize workload and manage competing deadlines effectively.
• Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) is desirable but not essential.
