The Opportunity

Element are partnering with Brothers Drinks to recruit a Finance Manager.  This is a newly created opportunity to work alongside the Financial Controller/CFO. You will be responsible for building and shaping the operational finance arm of the business and be empowered to make improvements across the business.

This role is suited to someone who enjoys change and is excited about leading by example. You will be passionate about improvement projects and creating an effective and scalable finance function.

As a Finance Manager, your responsibilities will comprise but not be limited to:

  • Play a key role in developing a culture of continuous improvement and right first time in Finance. 
  • Lead, develop and coach the AR/AP team and ensure they meet business and personal goals.
  • Ensuring accurate calculation and recording of Revenue & COGs.
  • Supporting and working with the Commercial BP (Brands) on own branded sales & costs.
  • Providing high quality reporting and information to internal and external customers and stakeholders.
  • Support the FC in developing timely month end and year end close processes.
  • Work with the FC, Commercial BP and Data Analyst to deliver a comprehensive reporting suite of MI that empowers the wider business with actionable insight.
  • Develop and produce accurate and insightful Board reporting materials.
  • Produce accurate and effective budgeting and forecasting data & reports.
  • Partner with department heads and business units providing on-going insight into past and future financial information, bringing clarity, ensuring ‘no surprises’ and driving performance.
  • Own the day-to-day production and reporting of Revenue and COGs information for a high volume, complex manufacturing business.
  • Ensuring accurate and complete stock management and running the stock take process with the FC.
  • Ensuring that the team lives and breathes our cultural behaviours and helping to create a performance driving mentality.
  • Partner business leaders in making accurate strategic and investment decisions.
  • Any and all duties as needed to support an agile and entrepreneurial business to succeed.

The Profile

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with >2 years post qualified 
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience of managing teams and coaching staff
  • Experience working within a fast-growing/changing business environment preferrable
  • Proven communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Strong excel skills with an ability to analyse/interpret large data sets
