We are recruiting for a Finance Analyst to work for a global manufacturing organisation based in Somerset. Reporting in to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for leading the analysis, and reporting of financial performance of the aligned business area, supporting the delivery of business performance reporting, budgeting and forecasting to support delivery of commercial improvement.


  • Lead the delivery of information, explanations and analysis of financial transactions to stakeholders to ensure their understanding of the financial results
  • Support delivery of commercial finance activity including budgeting, forecasting and regular financial performance reviews for the business to review and enable decision making
  • Deliver regular reporting requirements including analysis to meet the needs of finance and the business area and influence leadership to make more effective financial decisions
  • Complete detailed analysis of data and provide summary findings for key stakeholders to summarise the findings, interpret all main points to enable understanding and decision making
  • Develop and maintain adequate systems and processes to support effective planning, monitoring and reporting of financial performance and position
  • Define Group standards and templates for capital investment financial business case development and post investment review for use by Commercial Finance teams to analyse, assess, approve and report investments
  • Ensure aligned view of actual, forecast and budget capex between PMO & Finance
  • Maintain effective controls and procedures to satisfy statutory audit requirements
  • Review and recommend improvements to existing or new reports and to create efficiency and reduce non-essential workload

You will have:

  • Accountancy Qualification (ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent experience within a finance function
  • Effective business partnering skills with non-financial stakeholders
  • Very high levels of accuracy when working with data
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience in adding value to business decision making
  • Very good knowledge and skill of accounting and systems processes
  • Ability to work on own initiative
