Finance Administrator - Bristol

You will be working for this business based in Stoke Gifford who are looking for an entry level Finance Assistant. You will assist in the daily operations of the accounts department.

Duties & responsibilities include:

  • Management of day to day AP and banking process within the company
  • Invoice administration – matching to POs, advice / delivery notes, posting on Xero and seeking approval for payment
  • Maintain creditors ledger with payment and invoice updates
  • Issuing purchase orders, processing invoices, statements, payment runs, returns, prompt payment and tax clearance reports
  • Creditor reconciliations
  • Multi-currency bank reconciliations
  • Processing staff expenses
  • Filing of all finance department paperwork including invoices, payroll reports, VAT records etc. and providing admin support
  • Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies
  • Data entry on Xero and check spreadsheets for accuracy
  • Assistance with AR and issue invoices as needed
  • Review and file payroll documents
  • Participate in quarterly and annual audits
  • Assisting with other ad hoc as required

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

  • This role would suit a finance or accounting graduate or someone who is working towards an accounting qualification
  • Must be flexible to meet ad hoc requirements
  • Team player and also capable of working on your own initiative
  • Proven excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent excel skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
  • Familiarity with finance regulations
  • Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
