We have partnered with a Global Fintech client who are expanding their DevOps and Cloud team with a Devops Engineer on a permanent contract. The role will involve participation in new initiatives across the product suite, including enhancing our containerisation strategy.
Job Responsibilities
• Sourcing, configuring, and implementing build pipelines
• Advancing the containerization of our existing product suite
• Organising build improvements and consistency across development teams
• Analyse current technology utilized within the company and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them
• Communicating and problem-solving daily with teammates, solution development teams, and other stakeholders
• Ensuring appropriate security measures are implemented and maintained
• Improving automation and release capabilities of our products
Key Skills
• Skilled in DevOps including the design of robust multi-stage build pipelines
• Self-motivated and demonstrate the ability and desire to improve both our practices and themselves.
• Able to own end to end solution build pipeline or environment (design, implement, validate)
• Manage diverse workload including multiple parallel tasks and can prioritise appropriately
• Understands and introduces outside concepts to challenge the status quo or solve problems in software, tooling and process
Desirable Skills
• Experience of container technologies, for example Docker, Kubernetes, Azure AKS and AWS EKS
• Good experience working in a DevOps capacity and exposure to continuous integration and build tools, such as Jenkins, Bitbucket and Maven
• Experience with configuration management and automation technologies, such as Chef, Puppet or Ansible
• Exposure to or knowledge of web security protocols and tools, for example OWASP, Veracode, AppScan and WhiteSource
• Working knowledge of AGILE development, using methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban or Extreme Programming
Qualifications
The following certifications would be an advantage:
• Certified Jenkins Engineer
• Docker Certified Associate (DCA) certification
• Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
Experience
• Mid to Senior level with DevOps as part of responsibilities
