Assistant Accountant - Bath

Are you currently in a finance role, looking for a more varied role where you can gain experience in all aspects of finance? We are currently working with a growing organisation based near Bath, looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their gregarious and collaborative team. Due to internal promotions, this unique position has become available. You will have 1-2 years experience in a finance role, looking to develop your accounting skills. You will benefit from coaching, study support and hybrid working.

Responsibilities will include all aspects of month end, including:

• Processing purchase invoices and credit card payments
• Maintenance of the general ledger, including month end close
• Assisting in the preparation of management accounts, including prepayments and accruals, VAT returns, Fixed Assets
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Posting of monthly payroll journals
• Assisting with the preparation of annual P11Ds & PSA returns
• Daily cash flow analysis, including reviewing of bank statements, BACS payment reports and bank reconciliations 

Your Profile:

• Studying or qualified AAT / ACCA / CIMA 
• Experience of Xero is desirable
• Strong MS Excel Skills
• Hungry to develop your career!
