The Opportunity

Element are partnering alongside Brothers Drinks to recruit an AP/AR Supervisor.  This is a newly created opportunity to work alongside the Finance Manager.

You will Lead the end-to-end AR&AP process at BD, ensuring internal and external stakeholders are well managed, minimising risk and maximising accuracy.

As a AP/AR Supervisor, your responsibilities will comprise but not be limited to:

  • Delivering an efficient and effective credit control process from order to collection, minimising debt risk and maximising process efficiency.
  • Lead the AP process, ensuring a right first-time process with minimal outstanding items (GRNI etc.), and efficient payments balancing cashflow and supplier relationships. 
  • Preparing payments and stewarding their authorisation on a timely basis.
  • Lead, develop and coach the AR/AP team and ensure they meet business and personal goals.
  • Managing the cash/bank process, ensuring accurate and timely posting of information.
  • Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations (bank, sales ledger/purchase ledger) as appropriate.
  • Hands on approach to AP/AR.
  • Ensuring compliance with the control framework, authorisation matrix etc.
  • Supporting the FM/FC etc. with month/year end and any ad-hoc requirements.
  • Support the Payroll and Compliance leader in delivering 100% accuracy of external submissions.
  • Ensuring that the team lives and breathes our cultural behaviours and helping to create a performance-driving mentality.
  • Any and all duties as needed to support an agile and entrepreneurial business to succeed.

The Profile

  • Proven experience in AP, supplier interaction and a strong understanding of process.
  • Proven experience in AR, managing the process and establishing good relationships with customers.
  • Team player and strong stakeholder management.
  • Experience of developing and leading a small team.
