You will be working for this North Bristol based business as an Accounts Receivable Specialist. The scope of work will be to perform daily activities standard for an accounts receivable role which include sales order requests, raising invoices, creating revenue deliveries, assisting with cash allocation, compiling the monthly revenue accrual, various revenue reporting, and assisting with customer queries. This role will also include support of the accounts payable function in all UK&I entities.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will work within the Financial Accounting Team but will support and work closely with the other teams within core and with the outsourced supplier. Tasks will be varied but will include:

  • Billing, collections, queries, events control and receivables reporting
  • Receipt and management of non-PO invoices
  • One time vendor oversight and control
  • Cash oversight and reporting
  • Invoice queries management and escalation
  • Liaison with Supply Chain and program teams
  • Liaison with the outsourced finance team and Regional Finance Centre
  • Work with the team to set up, improve and maintain processes within the transactional team
  • Work to improve and ensure data accuracy and integrity within transaction and reporting systems
  • Other ad hoc accounting activities and projects as required

Qualifications 

The ideal candidate will either be a recent graduate, in Accounting and Finance or someone with proven accounts receivable, industry experience.

Education/Experience

  • Qualified by experience or qualified to AAT level
  • Knowledge of complex accounting systems and reporting applications - Oracle
  • Strong Accounts Receivable and Accounts payable experience
  • Strong Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer satisfaction focus
  • Flexible and adaptable skills
  • High level of business acumen
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Good working knowledge of excel and Microsoft office
